Cruises Galveston is currently served by four cruise lines: Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Princess and Celebrity that depart from Terminal 1, at Pier23/26; or Terminal 2, at Pier 27/28 on Harborside Drive. Carnival offers 4 and 5 day cruises to the Mexican Coast, and a 7 day cruise to the Caribbean. Royal Caribbean offers 4, 5, 6, 7 and 10 day cruises to the Caribbean, Mexico and Florida, and 12-day cruises to Europe. Princess offers 7 day cruises to the Caribbean, and 19-day cruises to Europe. Celebrity offers 11 and 12 day cruises to the Caribbean and partial-Panama Canal cruises, and 16-day cruises to Europe. There are four primary ways to get to Galveston for a cruise: 1. Drive your car to The Island and leave it at the Port parking lot, or the private parking lot set up for passengers, OR stay at, and leave your car at, one the hotels that offers free parking and shuttle service to the cruise terminal. 2. Fly into Houston Hobby or George Bush Intercontinental and rent a car. Hobby is about a 1-hour drive from the Port; Bush is about a 1.5 to 2 hour drive. Leave the rental car in the Port parking lot, or the private parking lot set up for passengers, OR stay at, and leave the rental car at, one the hotels that offers free parking and shuttle service to the cruise terminal. 3. Fly into Houston Hobby or George Bush Intercontinental and rent a car from Enterprise or Hertz, and then turn it in when you leave on the cruise. When you return, they will pick you up, and give you another car for the return to the airport. 4. Fly into Houston Hobby or George Bush Intercontinental and then take the Galveston Limousine to your lodgings, or directly to the Port. If you don't take the Limousine to the cruise terminal, you can stay at one of the hotels that offers free shuttle service to the cruise terminal; or take a cab. When you return, take the Limousine back to the airport.
